About Wakamann Academy
edu.wakamann.com exists to close the gap between “I understand the concepts” and “I can ship, operate, and improve systems with the team.” Our courses emphasize practical work, clear rubrics, and artifacts you can reuse in your career.
Who we serve
- Parents and guardians investing in motivated teens (secondary school through early college) who want structure, not endless algorithm feeds.
- Recent graduates who need proof of delivery—not only transcripts.
- Career switchers leaving fields like healthcare, finance, retail, or the arts for high-demand platform and software roles.
- Enrolled university students who want lab depth and interview vocabulary their syllabus never quite reaches.
- Working adults who need a predictable weekly cadence and honest fit checks before they pay.
Programs for younger children are a longer-term idea, not part of our immediate roadmap—we would rather be explicit than vague.
What we believe
- Experience is the curriculum. Labs and projects mirror real constraints: budgets, deadlines, incidents, and trade-offs.
- Operability matters. Monitoring, orchestration, and safe change practices are not optional add-ons—they are part of how we teach platform engineering.
- Cohorts beat isolation. You learn with peers, review each other’s work, and practice communication the way senior engineers do.
What is launching first
Our first public intake centers on platform engineering—from Kubernetes and GitOps-style delivery to Prometheus, Grafana, and an AWS deployment capstone with monitoring and orchestration baked in. Published tuition today is 300,000 XAF per cohort. Additional tracks in frontend, backend, full stack, mobile, and web will follow on a published roadmap.
